Ok, it’s time to confess! I’m addicted to Orbitz.com arcade games!

There, I’ve said it! It almost shames me, but today I discovered that I enjoyed SHUFFLEBOARD! Up until now, I was enjoying the billiards games and the little putt-putt golf game, but now I tried shuffleboard and it’s…dare I say… FUN! It’s a little like curling (you know, the winter olympic kind) except for it’s on a fun cruise ship instead of in a big building with German and Swiss women screaming at each other. Anyhoo, if you are bored (Becca) and you are tired of spider solitaire (Becca) then try the orbitz.com arcade!

I can’t sleep

It’s very early in the morning and I can’t sleep. I don’t know what is wrong with me… I’m tired, I just can’t seem to seal the deal. Thankfully my pop up killer did NOT kill the pop up for Orbitz.com’s arcade which has the 8-ball challenge. Sadly, I can’t beat the computer, but atleast it gives me something to do while sleep evades me!

My final for my summer class is tomorrow!

I’m so glad to be done with the summer stuff, although compared to last summer it was a breeze! Michael has been doing fairly well, tonight I had to be gone at bedtime so dad put them to bed, but Michael rushed right out when I got home, so I had to send him to bed again. It’s not going perfectly, and it is taking longer than I wanted i? to, but bedtimes are a little less frustrating than they used to be!

So far so good!

Tonight is night three of super Nanny bedtime routine, and there was NO screaming or crying tonight. I sat in there for just a few minutes and then left the room, he came out three times, but I did not speak to him and he crawled right back into bed (I think he just wanted to make sure that the getting out of bed wouldn’t work lol). So, I put him to bed about 9:30 pm and I haven’t heard from him since 10:15 or so! Sooo, so far so good!

Last T-ball game of the summer!

Whee! I love that Michael loves t-ball, but I am so glad that the hot, sticky season is over (even though I only attended a few games thanks to the hard to entertain Audrey). It was a great game and Michael was even greeted with some visitors who came to see him, Rusty and Erin 89 ! Audrey managed to stay occupied by the camera for awhile 99 but soon we had to trek back to the car because she just wasn’t listening anymore. Oh well… it’s 10:35 now, Michael has made it through super Nanny night number 2. He was in bed by 9:30 and I believe he is asleep now. There was a LITTLE less struggle tonight, but I think progress is being made!

Night number one of superNanny bedtime routine for sweet Michael…

Well… I will say that it took about an hour for Michael to go to sleep. I took him to bed, we read a book, we said prayers, and then I said goodnight. He asked me to lay with him for a little bit and I said I would but that it was time for bed and there was no talking or messing around. This was not something that he was willing to agree with lol, but I gave him no choice. I layed with him but as soon as he started talking and messing around I left the room. Of course, he followed me, and I calmly took him to bed, tucked him in, told him I loved him and that it was time for bed. I then informed him that for the rest of the evening if he got out of bed there would be no talking, I would just be putting him back in bed. So, I left the room, and again he followed me. I calmly walked him back and pointed to him bed and turned to walk out of the room, but he stayed in bed, so I remained in the room by the door. As soon as he got out of his bed, I left the room. He followed me and I led him back to his room, put him in bed and did the same thing. He stayed in his bed ?o I remained in the room by the door until he got out again. Again I led him back to the room and pointed to his bed. He got into bed, and I did the same, standing by the door, but this time he stayed in bed. He was crying and asking me to lay with him, but I shook my head no and stood by the door. He stopped crying and continued to stay in bed, so to reward him, I sat on the end of his bed for a couple of minutes, by the end of which he was fast asleep. This was at 9:30 I believe, and now 83 he is still sleeping, in his own bed. I’m not sure if I made the right choice by sitting on his bed, but I was very happy with him for always getting into bed (as opposed to laying on the floor in the hallway refusing to get back in bed and making me drag him there lol) AND staying there AND calming himself down too. Oh well… he and I survived the first night, we shall see what tomorrow brings.
