I’ve gotten my room and my closet done (bathroom will come last-yech), the linen and hall closet done, and now I’m heading off to the kitchen!!!

I am SO nervous. It’s all short answer and essay and there is just SO much information! The class is child welfare and the vast amounts of information you need to know is just overwhelming. I can’t wait to be done, I’ve been studying for days and I am TIRED. Not to mention that my home… yeah, it’s in shambles! If actualy child welfare stopped over today they might consider taking the children lol… it is soooo messy. I wish there was some way that while I was taking my test a little fairy would sprinkle fairy dust over my house and make it clean! Anyone know where I can get me one of those?
Sure I could study, but it’s so much more fun to do up Audrey!
It will be a surprise as to what it is… I’m not sure how to do this picture thing yet LOL!
Last night on the way home from Chris’s cousin’s birthday party, Michael asked what country music sounded like so Chris found a country music station and let him listen to a few songs. A few minutes in Michael said,” Ok, Dad, I don’t like this… can we listen to city music again!” HA HA HA! That kid just cracks me up!
That was my ode to Dr. Seuss! Fabulous news today… found out that I no longer need to take the GRE (Graduate Record Exam) to apply to the Masters program for Social Work at the University of Iowa! This is GREAT news because Chris and I discovered on Saturday that I had missed the cut-off to register for the fall GRE by ONE HOUR, which meant that I couldn’t take it until the spring and since they only accept applications for the Fall semester, I would have had to wait another whole YEAR to apply because I wouldn’t have gotten my GRE scores back in time to apply this spring. Anyhoo… YAY!
It’s driving me batty to not be able to post on my blog, not that much has been happening to me, but I like to have my little outlet! I hate to harp on him, because I know he is devoting all of his time and energy into school and us and he is doing great! I’m so impressed with the tranformation of him that he continues to work on!
I am now in, what I hope to be my last year of undergraduate studies. I am spending this morning trying to figure out what I will need to apply to the School of Social Work at the University of Iowa and getting prepared to do all of that. It’s a little scary to be moving on to the next level (I hope!!!), but at the same time, there is such a feeling of accomplishment that I am working towards a goal that I know I can reach!
On other goals that I am working on, the weight loss is going well. I was shocked to find out that since May I have lost 67 lbs. Chris and I have been trying very hard to eat well and I think we have been doing awesome! Even when we hang out with Becca and Josh (which, formerly was our downfall through no fault of their own… it was just fun to eat crud lol), we have managed, for the most part to eat fairly healthy!
Hmmm… what else? We took a “vacation” this summer! We spent a long weekend with Josh and Becca in Des Moines and took the kids to the Science Center (and, thanks to my parents got a membership), The Union Park Carousel, and on the next weekend to the Blank Park Zoo. It was lots of fun and I have lots of pictures that as soon as I figure out, I will post here!
I’ve also begun scrapbooking, something I thought I would never do… but I am and I love it! Becca and I are deep into it now and it is a great new hobby for us because you can’t snack and scrap lol! Again, as soon as I figure it out, I will post some pictures of my favorite pages!
I guess that is all for now! Sorry about the title of my blog, I hit the enter button on accident and now I don’t know how to change IT lol. Still, this will be here until Chris can find time to fix my other blog… so see ya around!
