I know it seems like we do nothing else but spend our weekends together… but, well… it’s mostly true lol! This weekend I traveled with my MOM up to the Thraps! My mom is a horse-shoer and she had a conference near where Josh and Becca live, so I hitched a ride there and after her conference was over on Saturday she came back to the Thraps and spent the night with us. Becca and I got a LOT of scrapbooking done and I am ever so close to being completely caught up with my pictures. What an amazing feeling!
In more big news (not really, only to me and Becca), my mom and I went to visit Angie (a friend of my mom) who is big into scrapbooking, and she hefted item after wonderful item into my hands. She gave me her large sticker maker (says she doesn’t use it?!) AND her silent setter (I have wanted one of those for SOOOOOOOOOOO long), plus she gave me TONS of stickers and 2 TONS of paper and gorgeous specialty paper! Honestly, I was spoiled… and officially I can no longer fit all my stuff in two bags lol (Oh dear, I’m becoming like unto Becca!).
While Audrey and I traveled with my mom, Chris and Michael had their own fun. Friday night, Michael stayed with my dad and had his first official riding lesson. He did AWESOME and I think he might just be a natural horseman (I know my parents are hoping so lol). Audrey also got to ride for a bit, but deciding that swinging was more fun since I had just taught her how to jump off the swing while it was swinging… I’m not sure why I did that now, but at the time it seemed like a reasonable parent thing to do! Anyway, Saturday around noon, Chris picked up Michael from my parents house and traveled to Muscatine to see his friend Lori on her birthday. Michael and Chris took Lori to Pizza Ranch as per her request, for a birthday lunch. Michael was so excited to be going to a birthday party where he and his dad were the only ones invited. After that, they drove home through the fog and settled in after deciding not to take in a vollyball game at the college. In the morning, Chris and Michael went to church and Chris said that Michael was perfect. Later he even took Michael along with him to go Home Teaching, and Michael was again very well behaved. Such a good boy!
Audrey and I were dropped off by my mom at about 7:30p.m. and Audrey went right off to bed. Chris and Michael came home soon after and Michael was sent off to bed as well. All in all… it was a FUN but too fast weekend!
but alas, all the other plug-ins just don’t seem to work as well as this one. I had a fun weekend. Lisa and I and left on Thursday to go see Becca for a girls scrapping weekend (well, actually, Lisa had to leave on Friday since Saturday was her birthday–HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA). We had such fun and Becca made her first shakey! Then, Chris and the kids came up to join us on Friday afternoon and there was lots of Canasta and a little Rook to be had. In a turn of events, Becca and I apparently have lost our edge in Rook, but we’ve gained a considerable edge in Canasta. Unfortunately for the guys, we all seem to be enjoying the challenge of Canasta so much more than Rook…so, the men are dealing with this as best as they can lol.
Also this weekend we got to see Jacob’s soccer game, which was VERY exciting and COLD! I saw Jacob kick in a goal and defend his team VERY well! I may be biased, but I thought he was the best kid on the field!
For all of you loyal reader out there (that would be me) I’m back. I’ve been gone for a while because my blog was messed up and I couldn’t log in, and I didn’t have time to fix it. But now I did. So here I am. I don’t have anything exciting to say right now because I’m EXHAUSTED!
This exam was over the “Judeo” portion of the course.
Class Average: 69%

Yeah, not a great idea I guess… Audrey wanted a bath, I had gotten her a new bottle of shampoo, she decided she needed to be REALLY clean and her logic told her that in order to be REALLY clean, she needed to pour the WHOLE bottle of NEW shampoo in the tub with her. So… this afternoon I bought her a new bottle of shampoo because I’m just that stupid.

Thanks to Chris for all his hard work in getting my blog back up and going!!!
Apparently to get some people at your blog you have to talk about them and call them by name! So there… Mike Laughead, I’m writing a blog spot just about him!
-My husband and I named our son after him
-He’s like a brother to my husband
-His wife is awesome AND expecting another baby (which we are VERY excited about)
-His art is cool
-His whole family rocks
-I know several juicy secrets about him that I have never said outloud and I never will (what’s that? you say you have a small cut? hmmm, I don’t know what I would offer you!)
Ok, so Becca, you inform Mike OVERTLY of my blog address AND tell him I have a post all about him, if he would only go look lol!
That’s right, in just three days I will be taking my first “vacation” all by myself! I can’t believe how nervous I am about it. My friend and I are going up to visit Becca and I am leaving the kids here with my husband! See… I’m not terribly worried about how that will go, but I’m super nervous about them traveling up here to get me on Friday because you know… what if something happened and I was the only one left?! I almost can’t think of anything worse! But… I am trying to strike this from my mind lol and just look forward to the good stuff and I will pray all day Friday that they make it safely.
I really am excited to go to Becca’s for a scrapping weekend, but I have two midterms before my retreat so I do have plenty to keep me busy. Poor Becca, she’s got no studying to hold her down and stress her out before we get there on Thursday so I’m sure she will be B.O.R.E.D! lol So… everyone who comes here should also go to her blog and keep her company until I can get there!
You can’t hear it, but that was to the tune of what I would call an early 80’s version of Michael Jackson music. Anyway, yay to me, I gotTWO more scrapping pages DONE… I am on a ROLL! I also watched the Office and I have to say… HILARIOUS! Dad, I don’t know how you can’t like that show (you either, Becca… but you are coming around slightly so I will leave you out of this)! By the way (or BTW for those of you who may not understand all the computer lingo), greetings to my Dad for being a good father and coming to view AND post on my blog! Now, tie Mom to the computer and make her come and visit sometimes too lol (that’s laugh out loud)!
