Summer is almost half over…

Summer school is done for Chris and almost done for  Audrey.  I’ve only got about three weeks left and I am hopeful that my first “semester” of grad school will pass successfully.  Of course I still have to take the GRE at the end of July, but I am trying my best not to worry about it and trust that since I have been accepted to grad school already, that even a cruddy GRE score won’t let them rescind my acceptance lol.

The Thraps were here this past week for some family reunion get togethers and we had a fun time scrapping, hanging out, and even letting the men take the children to see the Transformers.  It seemed to be enjoyed by all, and I know that Becca and I enjoyed Hobby Lobby while they were watching the movie.

Saturday night Chris and I went out to my parents house to make a nice dinner for them and my brother after they spent all day baling hay in near 100 degree weather.  Before we left, I had moved our VERY pregnant yellow guppy fish into Michael’s room (which houses the “hospital” fish tank) since the males in the living room fish tank just would not stop chasing her.  I guess that giving her some extra space helped her to calm down and give birth because we came home to FORTY-TWO baby guppies swimming around happily with their much slimmer momma.  Mother and babies are fine, though mother has been placed back in the living room where she is being chased yet again by the males… and Chris keeps saying that she’s just going to get pregnant again lol.

Crazy… five months ago I had two fish, now we have almost 60!

You are going to need a bigger apartment…or some good guppie recipes  .

Well, after spending all week watching that momma and thinking surely she was just going to bust open at any time, I am sorry to have missed the apparently enormous show! Thanks again for your hospitality, and we look forward to having you next weekend. Can’t believe there’s so little Summer left! At least you’ll get a break soon and we can relax and have a little fun.

Wow! I would love to see all those fish. Are guppies the kind of fish that eat their own young? Is that the other reason you moved the mommy fish? Are you guys planning on keeping all of them, or giving them away to other people?

Mommy is a baby fish eater, and it’s true… since the tank is in Michael’s room, I didn’t think it would be a good idea for him to have to watch a baby fish massacre. I think we are planning on selling them back to the fish store and giving them away to ANYONE WHO WANTS SOME!!!

Unlike everyone else I am concerned about your poor parents and brother that suffered in near 100 degree heat to bale hay. Those poor suffering people. I feel their pain.
