Yeah… blah would be an understatement. It’s not like I’ve been so mired down with stuff there has just been a lack of motivation to do much of anything outside of what HAS to be done. But, in an effort to update the blog for all of our millions of fans… here it goes. Chris is doing very well in school this semester, I think that he is on par to have his best semester ever. He’s taking Introduction to Social Work (I thought it would be very relevant to his RN career) and is required to perform 45 hours of volunteer work this semester. He is doing his work at the crisis center food bank in our area, and so far I think he really enjoys serving the community. He’s been working so hard this semester with school, volunteering, and work and I am so proud of him!
Michael is in third grade this year. It has been a tough transition for him, but so far he seems to be making it through just fine. He’s incredibly bright and a wonderfully, sweet child. He is quick to take things to heart, which can be difficult for him, but we love his personality and kindness.
Audrey is a sassy first grader. She loves school and is making great leaps and bounds in her learning. She’s our little drama queen, which I think she gets from me if I remember myself at that age. She loves to sing and dance, especially if she can get an audience.
As for me… well, school is going well. It is a lot of work, but I expected that. Our class has finally gotten some information on our foundation practicum for next semester. I am very nervous about how much more difficult things will be next semester, but my mantra is one week at a time. I just keep pushing through and things seem to get done. I’m meeting lots of new people and making wonderful friends and overall really enjoying graduate school.

Glad to have the update! Hope things continue to be … manageable at worst. Missing you!
Sounds like you guys are doing well. I had no idea that Chris was going to be an RN. That is awesome, he’s like Carla on Scrubs. (I think Chris will look hot in scrubs.) I’m glad everyone else is doing well. Drop us a line when anything cool happens.
In my head I’m singing ‘One day at a time sweet Jesus’ Glad that things are going well for Chris. And yes I would think that the drama fruit didn’t fall far from that tree.
And I’m worried about Mike thinking that Chris is going to look hot is scrubs.
Take care and come see us.
The real grandpa
THERE you are. I know how it is to be burried in schoolwork. When do you graduate? It’s SO great to get there - I know you can do it!!!
I am so happy to hear such happy things! I am so proud of Chris and you both! (and the kids of course)…Oh! and I came home to a wedding invitation for some friends, the wedding is in December in Des Moines
