There are always stories in the news about people… making love (?) to things, so I decided to created a new category called “The things people do” and here is my inaugural post…
Art Price, Jr., a married father of three, chose to do a picnic table. I’m not sure I want to write all the details here, but I am bored and can’t sleep and couldn’t pass this up. If you are interested you can read the full article here.
There are numerous reasons for this, some of which some of you may know about all the changes they have made to the printing system here, and maybe I’ll write about it sometime, but…
OK, so about 5 minutes ago somebody came over and said they were having problems printing, so I went over to see what was the problem. First problem is, they’re on a Mac. OK, just kidding. So I go over and check it out and it appears they have tried printing, but there is an error box that has popped up and says they’ve entered the incorrect password. In fact, it is repeated 5 times in a row that they have the incorrect password (I’m not sure why this is). Anyways, its a guy and a girl, and the guy says he doesn’t know what is wrong, while the girl is repeatedly clicking the OK button and trying again and again for it to print.
So I tried to see what was wrong (at this point I had a pretty good idea) and entered my username and password and what do you know, it works for me. So I used my finely tuned troubleshooting skills and asked them to try again, this time with the correct password. It worked.
So the Thraps are here this weekend and this morning Becca and I were out and about when I thought a Sonic slush would be divine. So, we went through the drive through and to our surprise Don Juan took our order. When he repeated our order he had an erotic inflection to his voice that had us splitting our sides in laughter. When we got up to the window he says,”Is there something wrong with the way I said,”caaaaaaaaaaarraaaaaaammmmmel?”
It’s always a fun time when Becca is here!
So we have had an eventful February. Working, schooling, familying… all that good stuff. Michael of course turned 9 in February and was THRILLED to receive a Nintendo DS. He had been begging for one since all his Thrap friends got them for Christmas so we were very grateful to be able to get him one. In order to avoid the one kid having a great toy issue, we gave Audrey a choice of waiting until May for her present or getting it now (after Michael’s party… we let him be the birthday boy FIRST). After a two second thought process, she chose to open her present now and was equally gleed to get her own DS. They have come in quite handy for all of these snow days we’ve been having where the kids have to go with Chris to work!
Chris also had some minor procedure taken care of in February, for which he survived and we are glad that he is basically back to normal again! Nothing much is new with me, just continuing to work and get ready to apply and interview for my advanced practicum for next year. It is just like my foundation practicum that I am doing now, except that it will be more in depth and a year long!
